My new love for vintage… anything!

The Toronto Archives are great sources of vintage photographs. I not only love them for their authenticity, but the pictures into the past invoke a feeling of awe. Things are so different now, I can only gawk. Here are a few pictures that I have picked out for a personal gallery.

Circa 190-, 192-.

On Sundays at the building north of the St. Lawrence Market, there is a Sunday (flea) market.  There is a man called Lincoln (if I remember correctly) that sells big prints of these photographs.  I spent the better part of my visit to the flea market at his booth.  He’s pretty knowledgeable and pointed me to the city archives for more goodies.  I bought two prints, exhausting all the cash I had on hand that day (and I even had to borrow to subsidize my purchase… I felt so guilty!)  I can’t wait to hang the prints!
